Traditional Fairs

Santorini fairs retain the traditional style of the island and are particularly popular with locals and visitors. In the beautifully decorated churches of the Saints who celebrate, free food and wine is offered after mass and, in the largest fairs, live music and dancing takes place.
Today Saint Panteleimon celebrates and in the evening, a fair will take place in the central square of Vourvoulos with live traditional music and songs, while local specialties and plenty of wine will be distributed for free. The event is organized by the Vourvoulos Cultural Association.
Time: 21.00
So, if you have learned how to dance “Zorba the Greek” and you want to practice it, you can attend another big fair at Panagia tis Kimisis church, at the lighthouse of Akrotiri, on Friday night. Stay tuned for more information!
