Beach Report

The high temperature is unusual for Santorini. During the summer, the Greek islands are lucky to have the meltemia, the annual northern winds that cool them down. Meltemia usually appear in July and August, in the hottest months of summer. Thus, even if the rest of the country experiences a heatwave, Santorini is relatively cooler.
This year, the meltemia have not begun yet, so we feel the intense heat! The best option is to head to either the hotel swimming pool or the beaches and stay in the shade or in the water for as long as possible.
