Kinisi Festival, Day 1

The successful Kinisi Festival is back in Santorini for a second year and its curatorial theme is the “Porous,” a term that refers to the structure of the volcanic pumice rocks on the island. It starts today, lasts until 23rd October, and will take place in several spots of the island, with Venetsanos Winery in Megalochori being the main. Greek and foreign folk musicians and experimental sound artists, interested in Greece and the Balkans, create performances and concerts in the volcanic landscapes of Santorini.

Today from 11:00-14:00 you can attend the Soundmapping workshop with Radio Kit and at 5:30pm a soundwalk takes place at the Venetian Castle of Pyrgos. Later at night, at 8.00pm, Balkan artists will present their music in Venetsanos Winery and much later, at 11.00 pm, you can enjoy ethnic music at Tranquilo Beach Bar, in Perissa.
We hope you have fun!
