Mid Summer Day

With the heat of these days, no one doubts that the summer has already started! But in astronomical terms it will happen tonight at the summer solstice. In fact the midsummer day this year almost coincides with the full moon, a phenomenon that has not happened for about 70 years. Therefore today is the official start of summer in the northern hemisphere, where our favorite island belongs! The Sun will be located at the highest point in the sky and daylight will last 14.5 hours! This means that the North Pole of the Earth will be literally facing the Sun.
