The events of the Byzantine
week continue in Kastelli 1663 art gallery and café at Pyrgos village. Today
the event begins with Noah Angell who will give a performance lecture on his
collection of ethnographic records. This piece will be followed by a
performance from Kostas Karapanos and Vasilis Triantis playing an
instrumental Epirotic repertoire including Miroloi (laments), Skaros
(shepherd’s melodies mimicking natural sounds), and dance tunes well into the
night.
