Welcome June!

Today we officially welcome the first month of Summer 2015"Kalo Mina"!
June took its name from Greek goddess Hera, Zeus’ wife, who is called Juno in Latin. In Greece, it is considered the month of agriculture because we reap the wheat and of tradition, because on June 23, eve of Agios Ioannis o Klydonas, we light and jump bonfires in the villages.
As for children, June means the end of school, beginning of summer vacation, and, of course, they carefully count their swims and their ice creams and compete with each other!
