Suntanning and UV index

Santorini holidays mean sun, sea and fun
The sun is shining, the temperature is rising, the black sand is getting hotter and the sea attracts more and more visitors. However, proceed with caution…..
The sun smiles but also burns! Extensive exposure can cause sunburns, especially to the people with fair complexion and skin.

So, what is this UV index? It is a measurement of the strength of the UV radiation during the day in order to help people protect themselves. For instance, 3-5 on the scale means moderate risk of harm, so SPF 30+ sunscreen and a hat are recommended, while 6-7 means high risk of harm, so the same sunscreen, even in shade, is recommended.
