Fair at Agios Ioannis Rosos Churches

Agios Ioannis o Rosos (St John the Russian) was a slave to the Ottomans but was respected for his good deeds. His body has remained incorrupt and was transferred from Turkey to a church in Northern Evia in 1924.
The church in Santorini is situated in Kontochori, Fira, between the two streets connecting Fira with Firostefani, over the Folk Museum. You will locate it by its colourful flags!
Tip: Τomorrow, after the morning service (7:00 to 10:00) you will enjoy for free food and local wine.
And of course after eating, ... music! Don't miss it!

A celebration will also take place at the small church of Agios Ioannis o Rosos at Emporeio, “Potamos” area, next to the kindergarten, after the holly mass. Also at Kamari, in the small church of St. Artemios where the large icon of Agios Ioannis o Rosos is kept, after the holly mass and the icon’s procession, a fair will follow!
