Santorini Climate

The climate in Santorini shows peculiarities in relation to the surrounding islands of the Cyclades and the rest of Greece. A number of reasons explains why:
• There is a lot of dew mainly during the morning hours.
• The surface of the ground is mostly white (from the pumice, the ash from the Minoan eruption of 1613 BC that covers the island) and therefore has limited absorption of solar heat.
• Humidity is relatively high.
• Wind speed, in comparison with the other Cycladic islands, is greater.
• Rainfall is limited
So, enjoy your favorite island because it offers you a variety of natural phenomena and a unique microclimate to capture, even several times a day!
