Meet the volcano, our neighbour in Santorini

A presentation on the state of our active neighbor, the volcano, is organised today, like every autumn, and it is open to the public.
The organization of the event is undertaken by the
τhe Institute for the Study and Monitoring of Santorini Volcano (ΙΜΠΗΣ) in collaboration with the Municipality of Thεra and includes very interesting talks and presentations by Michael Fytikas and Constantinos Papazachos, Aristotle University professors and members of the Institute and by Georgis Vougioukalakis, a member of the Monitoring Committee of the Santorini Volcano. The talks are about the current state of the volcano, the seismic surge in 2011 - 2012 and the volcano monitoring by the Institute.
The event
is held at Bellonio Cultural Foundation in Fira, at 19.00 and entrance is free.
