Wine Museum

It is the only cave museum in Greece, as it is built eight meters below ground and it took 21 years of toil to create it. It is 300 meters long and has a labyrinth-like shape. The Wine Museum presents the wine history and the life of vine-growers in Santorini since 1660.
The stages of the winemaking process and the whole range of machinery are presented in chronological order. All the tools, vessels and machinery are genuine and rare and have been greatly used by past generations, so they can take the visitors back in time to another era.

An automatic audio guide is available in fourteen languages and a guidebook is also available in eight extra languages. Finally, the visitors will have the opportunity to taste four of the best wines that the winery produces today, in a specially designed wine-tasting area.
The Museum is located on the road to Kamari and is open daily 10.00 – 17.00.
Ask your reception to arrange a wine tour for you, as the taste is worth it!
