Traditional Fair in Exo Gonia

Church processions take place to celebrate the Saint of the church. The fair is held either the previous evening, after the service or in the same morning of the celebration, after the morning mass.
The fair is named “panigyri” and includes free food and wine, courtesy of the family who organizes the event.
• Food or traditional fava is cooked at cauldrons in the church court and then offered to the worshipers.
• Many times, local musicians play live and lure guests into long hours of dancing!

Tonight in Exo Gonia there will be fair at St. Haralambos, the imposing church with red tiles and double bell towers on the road from Pyrgos to Kamari after 9pm.
