THIRASIA with the Greek National Opera

The Festival “Agoni Grammi Gonimi”, implemented by the Greek Ministry of Education since 2007, will be held in the island of Thirassia tonight. The educational and cultural Festival has taken place in 27 islands off the beaten track, giving the residents of remote areas the opportunity to come into contact with cultural events.
Tonight the festival begins with the 19 (!) students of Thirasia High School presenting guitar workshops and singing hip hop (lyrics and music by themselves) in collaboration with MC Yinka.
Then, five opera singers from the Opera Studio of the Greek National Opera will give a performance, accompanied by a piano.

The concert will be held in the Thirasia High school yard and will be free of charge.
To facilitate the attendance from Santorini, a boat route will run from Ammoudi, Oia to the port of Riva at 20:30. From Riva a bus will take the visitors to the capital Manolas. Return from Riva to Ammoudi at 22:30.
Free transport.
